To be a Wife

To be a wife is
to smile
to learn
to watch
to understand

to cook
to clean
to caress
to satisfy
to devote

As a Queen, wife should rule
As a Cook, wife should give a good food
As a Mother, wife should be careful
As a Partner, wife should understood

    To be a wife is
to love

To be a great wife is
to be loved
to be happy
to be herself

Can’t believe I am writing three poetry in less than two hours. So prompt 20 is about write something general, something basic. And here I am, write what I know about being a wife in four months.

Poet’s Confession

If poetry doesn’t make me feel safe and free,
I always take a walk or do the eating spree

If poetry can’t listen and behaving badly,
I read between lines in dictionary

If poetry makes me anxious of things,
I’d rather walk away, left it unfinished

Napowrimo prompt 19 is to write Afghan style poetry, landay! Landays are 22-syllable couplets that generally rhyming.

It’s so easy and fun to write landays,
You should try!

Origin of Mankind

In the name of Allah
Most Gracious
Most Merciful

Verily We created man from a product of wet earth;
then placed him as a drop(of seed) in a safe lodging;
then We fashioned the drop into a clot, then We fashioned the clot into a little lump,
then We fashioned the little lump into bones,
then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it another creation.

then does he get you out (into the light) as a child:
then lets you (grow and) reach your age of full strength;
then lets you become old,-
though of you there are some who die before;-
and lets you reach a term appointed; in order that you may learn wisdom

And those who strive in Our (Cause)
We will certainly guide them to Our Paths: for verily Allah is with those who do right

We showed him the Way:
whether he be grateful or ungrateful
(rests on his will).

Shall I give you glad tidings of things
Far better than those?
For the righteous are Gardens
in nearness to their Lord

Napowrimo prompt 18 is about urgent journey and important message. I can’t think about most beautiful journey in my life other than the time when I just born and entering the world. To deliver experience in that matter, I try to write in God’s point of view as the one who give me order to live and continue the journey. And the best way to write God’s words is write His words literally. So here I am gathering verses in Quran about human creation and it’s purpose, to turn them into poetry.

I am amazed how beautifully written the Quran is.

Here are the surah and the verse that I take to make this poetry.

Oh My Poetry

Have I praised you enough
O Poetry, my poetry
for smile and laugh

You make me questions till I free
to know the beauty of everything
O Poetry, my poetry

I catch the truth in believing
It is always good after evil
to know the beauty of everything

I watch rainbow over muddy daffodil
Being grateful for the past cause indeed
It is always good after evil

to learn pain, suffer and bleed
so succeed will follow dreams
Being grateful for the past cause indeed

Dreams come true,
Have I praised you enough
For help me dream and find the clue
For smile and laugh

Can’t believe that I completed this poetry for less than 45min! I cheat for napowrimo this time, I mix prompt 15 and 17 together in one poetry. So here is present you a poetry to my poetry in trezanelle style.

I was not in the mood for writing since last week this is 16th prompt of Napowrimo where I should do the 20th today. But I do learn so much; to push my self to write and to be a disciplined person. So this poetry is so raw and not yet complete, the idea of social media related poetry is so relatable until I have so much to say in such a little time.

Thanks for reading, how is your thought on social media, fellas?

Wife, Husband

Verily, you are part of my ribs
Clothes for my body
Guide and guard you, I shall wit

Truly, I was incomplete just like you
Before we meet in the midst of lack
Trust you and remind you, i shall do

I couldn’t do all your wish
I couldn’t always keep what I promise
Forgive and forget, we better be

I will try to be enough even in drought
Thankful for presence and past
For that, smile and please you better are

I will

But why?

It is you and me believing in each other

It’s us, striving for the better

I love you

14th prompt of Napowrimo: Dialogue in Poetry

No Needle for No one

Arya let her rage out
Smashed the stones in front of her with her bare hand
She finds out Needle isn’t there

Pretty sure about the location
     Can’t be wrong about
Two stacks of stones around the House of Black and White

One North, one South
She choosed one nearby the river
The one with a hole in the front

“It shouldn’t be found!”
She screams hopelessly
To the Faceless God whom she serves

She checks again the hole on the back
Then run to the stacks in the south
Back and forth, seven times north to south

Dig the hole deeper and deeper
Till she finds out a letter
Opens it, only to find Valar Morghulis

Written on the death scented black paper.
     “Valar Dohaeris”
She murmurs back to the letter.

“Are you looking for me?”
A man behind her whispers
     She knew it’s Jaqen H’ghar.

“I am looking for the sender of this letter!”
Arya replies without looking back.
      “Valar Morghulis”

“Valar Dohaeris”
She turns to face the Faceless Man.
No one should not looking for Arya Stark’s sword”

Jaqen H’ghar look deep to Arya’s eyes
      Tries to find the truth.
No one miss Arya Stark”

She can’t look back to him.
No one must not miss anyone”
His eyes as sharp as her sword

No one understand, no one must go back to scrub the floor then.”
She gives him her cold eyes
      “Sorry, Jon” her heart whines.

After binge-ing on four episodes of Game of Thrones I can’t help myself to not write about them. I feel like super cheating in this post, because I mix Napowrimo twelfth prompt with Writing 101 fifth prompt. What I do is getting the idea of “Brief” to write it in form of flash fan fiction,  before I turn it into a poetry by cutting the paragraph into lines and swipe down useless words.

Before I turn it into poetry

Took me one hour (plus brainstorming and procrastinating) writing this. Quite fast tho (for me). This poetry is totally fanfiction, no spoiler at all unless you don’t know anything at all about Game of Thrones.

Thanks for reading.
